As part of its cultural workshops, the Learning Center is pleased to welcome Pr. Ali Benmakhlouf for this week’s Authors’ Masterclass.

His book, Mémoriser le Coran, vivre l’islam, explores how Muslim children manage to memorize the Qur’an—an extensive text written in classical Arabic, a language many do not speak fluently. Drawing on in-depth research in Qur’anic schools (madrasas), particularly in the Souss region of southern Morocco, the book examines the diverse memorization methods practiced across the Islamic world.
