The Center for African Studies, directed by Professor Ali Benmakhlouf, is pleased to welcome Pr. Tarik Sabry, a member of the internationally renowned Communication and Media Research Institute at the University of Westminster, UK, where he teaches media and cultural studies. He will be giving a series of five lectures at the UM6P that examine key themes in media and cultural studies including media history, media and philosophy, popular culture, digitality, surveillance, media audiences and the decolonization of media theory. The lectures will be followed by discussion.
